Join your IT executive peers and host Alan Seiden for the next IBM i CIO Summit “Plus”—an exclusive event focused on exploring ways to leverage your IBM i investment, improve user satisfaction, and achieve greater professional success.
Organized together with System i Developer’s Susan Gantner, Jon Paris, and Paul Tuohy, this complimentary, non-commercial event will be held March 23-24, 2020 in Dallas, TX.
Participants will exchange tips and brainstorm ideas for addressing common challenges faced by IBM i CIOs and IT Directors—managing new technology; hiring the right skills; keeping IT aligned with business; getting started with modernization; blending development teams from different generations; evaluating cloud options; managing expectations; and other topics.
IBM’s Alison Butterill (IBM i Offering Manager) and Scott Forstie (DB2 for i Business Architect) will be onsite to brief the group on the future of IBM i, and answer questions.
Seating is limited and reserved for CIOs or IT Directors who oversee application development and work for companies that are not technology vendors (although we love IBM i vendors!)
DAY 1: Ideas & Problem Solving at the CIO Summit
On Monday, March 23, CIOs gather in Dallas with Alan for a day of facilitated discussions on the opportunities and challenges they share as CIOs. Participants get to know each other, exchange insights, and learn what strategies have worked well for others. They will also explore ideas for attracting the next generation of talent and participate in a face-to-face briefing on IBM i direction.
In addition, special guest Heidi Schmidt, leader in IT generational change and knowledge transfer, will discuss her experience in sparking collaborative learning that leads to increased joy, innovation, and effectiveness of IT development teams.
The first day’s event will include lunch and is offered at no charge, compliments of Seiden Group.
“Well worthwhile. I walked away with actionable items and plenty of fuel for ongoing thought.” Brian Margolies, CIO, Allied Beverage
