This “do it as we show it” online workshop is led by a Code for i expert who will demonstrate techniques as you follow along in your own environment. The training will not interfere with your work. It consists of three live class sessions, followed by trying what you learned, with unlimited support for any issues, and a wrap-up session to make sure you have mastered the basics.
You will become confident and productive as we cover:
- Install and Connect – Install VS Code + Code for i essential extensions, and connect to your IBM i
- Work with your code – Create filters to work with RPG and other code in your environment
- Customize for your needs – Use Actions and Profiles to manage environments, library lists, and more shortcuts and tips
- Build & Compile – Learn compiling basics and other essentials
- Discover SQL/Db2 – Use SQL and Db2 in Code for i
- Answer other questions – Covering other starter needs
