Keep Your PHP Secure: Why Regular Updates Matter
Cybersecurity best practices require regular security assessments, including for PHP.
PHP is actively maintained, with a new update released every month. We recommend installing PHP patch releases at least quarterly. You can review all official updates on the PHP changelog page, which lists every change, including CVE security fixes. The Seiden PHP+ changelog provides additional updates we include in our supported package.
Seiden SmartSupport clients receive quarterly Tune-Ups, security updates, and security bulletins as part of our proactive maintenance. Tune-Up sessions include applying the latest PHP security patches, configuration checks, and performance tuning.
As one IT Director told us:
“Do I really want to examine each security fix to decide if it applies to us? We should install all fixes on a schedule in our UAT environment, then move to production.”
Make security updates a routine, not a reaction. Ask us about Seiden Production SmartSupport and Developer Support.
